Not Forgotten
 
Cpl. Charles O. Palmer II, 36, of Manteca, Calif. died May 5th, 2007 while conducting combat operations in Al Anbar province, Iraq. Cpl Palmer was assigned to 8th Communication Battalion, II Marine Expeditionary Force Headquarters Group, II MEF, Camp Lejeune, N.C.
Palmer originally enlisted in the Marines after graduating from high school and served from 1992 to 1996. Then 12 years later in 2006, Palmer re-enlisted after serving for five years in the reserves. Cpl. Charles O. Palmer II had a “real sense of duty” to his country. Palmer was assigned to the 8th Communications Battalion that was assigned to the Al Ambar province near Khalidiyah. 
 
Cpl. Palmer was a devoted father, husband, brother and son. He valued relationships and esteemed the needs of others higher than his own. He was a man of integrity and values and He will be greatly missed.
 
Cpl. Palmer is a true American Hero.
